A device for dispensing wrapped coins 1 is provided with: a raising and lowering unit 80 having a wrapped coin accommodating member 82 which is capable of moving in a substantially vertical direction and which accommodates wrapped coins dispensed from an accommodating unit 10 by means of a dispensing mechanism 19; and a denomination detecting unit 88 (for example a mass measuring instrument 88a) which is provided in the wrapped coin accommodating member 82 of the raising and lowering unit 80, and which detects whether or not the denomination of the wrapped coins accommodated in the wrapped coin accommodating member 82 is the denomination of the wrapped coins to be paid out. |
