Provided is effective technology for an outside handle of a two piece structure of a vehicle door handle device to achieve, at a low cost, a fixing mechanism that fixes two resin handle parts into one piece. This vehicle door handle device includes an outside handle made by integrally fixing a resin first handle member and a resin second handle member that is further inside the vehicle than the first handle member via a fixing mechanism. The fixing mechanism comprises a pair of engaging claws that are provided in the second handle member and that are disposed to be mutually facing and are separated by a prescribed space, a seat portion that is provided in the first handle member and that has an engaging hole into which the pair of engaging claws can be inserted, and a metal self-tapping screw serving as a stopper member that is inserted into the space between the pair of engaging claws that are inserted into the engaging hole of the seat portion.
