摘要 The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for diagnosing blood pressure characteristics based on an oscillometric blood pressure measurement. According to the present invention, the method includes the steps of: determining reference systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure from an oscillometric waveform related to a cuff signal sensed by a pressure detection sensor; determining a range of ratios of the systolic blood pressure and the diastolic blood pressure by using maximum amplitude algorithm on the basis of amplitudes generated from the reference systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure; performing likelihood decision on the basis of a result of an a prior probability which is defined by using the range of ratios of the systolic blood pressure and the diastolic blood pressure; and estimating a characteristic ratio of the systolic blood pressure and the diastolic blood pressure by calculating a posteriori probability with a Bayesian model applied to the result of the priori probability on which the likelihood decision is performed.
