A passive wireless sensor 100 having a plurality of dielectric layers 102, an antenna 110, a diaphragm 114 and a feeding element 118. The antenna 110 is disposed in at least a portion of a cavity 112 formed by one or more of the dielectric layers 102. The diaphragm 114 is disposed on the cavity 112 and may be protected by a protection layer. The feeding element 118 is disposed in at least a portion of the plurality of dielectric layers 102 and is inductively coupled to the antenna 110 and may be configured to receive interrogation signals. One or more impedance elements, such as a resistor or capacitor, may be provided on or within the dielectric layers. A feeding via (passage) (220, figure 2) may inductively or electrically couple at least a portion of the feeding element to the antenna. The sensor 100 may form part of a sensor network comprising a transmitter, a plurality of sensing nodes (with at least one passive wireless sensor), a receiver and a signal processor/monitoring device. |
