PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which is convenient for a user.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a housing which stores an image forming section therein, and has an opening formed at one side surface thereof; a placing tray provided on the side of the one side surface of the housing, for placing sheets to be supplied to the image forming section; a first support means for supporting the placing tray so that the placing tray can move between a retreat position where the opening is covered by the placing tray and a placing position where the opening is exposed to place the sheets on the placing tray; a cover provided on the placing tray to cover the sheets placed on the placing tray; and a second support means for supporting the cover above the placing tray so as to be oscillatory. The axial direction of the oscillation of the second support means is orthogonal to the axial direction of the oscillation of the first support means. |
