<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flameproof fiber bundle in which the progress of flameproofing is homogeneous and fusion between single fibers is prevented with a good productivity. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing a flameproof fiber bundle from an acrylic precursor fiber bundle includes: subjecting an acrylic precursor fiber bundle to an oxidation treatment by a non-contact heating system in an oxidative atmosphere and then to an oxidation treatment by a contact heating system in an oxidative atmosphere. The contact heating system is preferably to use a heating roll. The non-contact heating system is preferably a hot air circulation. The precursor fiber bundle preferably has a total fineness of 12000-70000 dtex. The contact heating system preferably includes the steps of: (1) adjusting the density of fibers to 1.27-1.38 g/cm<SP POS="POST">3</SP>using a heating roll group 1 at temperatures of 240°C-290°C: then (2) adjusting the density of fibers to 1.30-1.40 g/cm<SP POS="POST">3</SP>using a heating roll group 2 at temperatures of 260°C-330°C; and then (3) adjusting the density of fibers to 1.33-1.42 g/cm<SP POS="POST">3</SP>using a heating roll group 3 at temperatures of 280°C-370°C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
