The colored polyimide film has 48 to 94 weight percent of a polyimide, 5 to 25 weight percent pigment and 0.05 to 2 weight percent carbon black. |

1. A method of increasing optical density comprising: incorporating carbon black in to a colored polyimide composition to obtain a colored polyimide film comprising:
i) 48 to 94 weight percent of a polyimide, the polyimide is derived from at least one aromatic diamine and at least one aromatic dianhydride; ii) 5 to 25 weight percent pigment; iii) 0.05 to 1 weight percent carbon black; andwherein the colored polyimide film has an optical density of at least 1.4 as measured with a Macbeth TD904 optical densitometer. |
