PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely suppress the elution of fluorine from a steel by-product.SOLUTION: In a method for suppressing elution of fluorine, when, from a mixture obtained by mixing an elution suppression agent 2 containing calcium into a steel by-product 1 containing fluorine, the elusion of the fluorine is suppressed, in such a manner that the mixing ratio Z(wt.%) of the elution suppression agent 2 to the mixture being below 70 wt.%, and further, prescribed relation is made consistent among the pH in an eluent of the steel by-product 1, there elution concentration of the calcium therein and the elution concentration of the calcium in the eluent of the elution suppression agent 2 in the mixing ratio Z, the mixing ratio Z(wt.%) of the elution suppressing agent 2 to the steel by-product 1 is decided, and the elution suppression agent 2 is mixed into the steel by-product 1 at the decided mixing ratio Z(wt%).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
