PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a droplet discharge device for various applications.SOLUTION: A print molding system 10 operating as a droplet discharge device is provided, which includes: an inkjet head that discharges ink drops of a UV-curable ink; curing means; a platen 16 that is a platform-like member disposed at a position opposing to the inkjet head; and a control unit 18 that controls operations of at least the inkjet head and the curing means. The print molding system 10 can carry out an operation in a print mode to print on a medium supported by the platen 16 and an operation in a three-dimensional article molding mode to stack layers of an ink on the platen 16 to mold a three-dimensional article. The control unit 18 receives an instruction of selecting one mode in the print mode and the three-dimensional article molding mode and controls operations of at least the inkjet head and the curing means in accordance with the selected mode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
