PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescent light source device capable of efficiently cooling a fluorescent member while assuring dust resistance and waterproofness and accordingly stably attaining a high light output for a long period of time.SOLUTION: This fluorescent light source device is constituted in such a way that a fluorescent member generating fluorescent light through irradiation of excitation light is held and positioned on a central axis of a member for holding the fluorescent member by a plate-like heat conductive part extending toward the central axis of the member for holding the fluorescent member, formed at an inner circumferential surface of the cylindrical member for holding the fluorescent member made of heat conductive material; and a fluorescent member arranging space having the fluorescent member positioned therein is constituted in watertight manner by a reflection mirror arranged to face oppositely against the fluorescent member within either a closing member for closing one end side opening of the member for holding the fluorescent member or the member for holding the fluorescent member, and a light outputting window closing the other end side opening of the member for holding the fluorescent member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
