The present invention relates to a method and a device for managing quality of service (QoS) of a distributed storage system, wherein the device is provided to implement the method. The method for managing QoS of a distributed storage system comprises: a predicted resource usage determination step of calculating a use bandwidth including a disk I/O bandwidth and a network I/O bandwidth by determining the disk I/O bandwidth in an execution section of an application to be used and the network I/O bandwidth in a time period corresponding to the disk I/O bandwidth based on an application use history in a user terminal at the request of the user terminal to use the application; an allocated resource amount determination step of determining a free bandwidth currently available for allocation in the distributed storage system and determining whether the use bandwidth can be allocated or not based on the same; and a resource allocation step of allocating the use bandwidth for the use of the application in the user terminal. According to the present invention, it is possible to change a bandwidth of virtual resources to be in a real-time optimal state depending on a use condition in which the application is used in the user terminal through the distributed storage system without installing additional hardware. Thus, the virtual resources may be effectively operated without trouble even when use requests are made by a lot of users at the same time.
