PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable pixels for focus detection to be interpolated in such a way that the trace of interpolation does not outstand irrespective of a subject in an image-capturing element having pixels for focus detection.SOLUTION: In an image-capturing element where pixels for focus detection are juxtaposed in plurality in a prescribed direction, a signal level at the positions of the pixels for focus detection is determined by combining, on the basis of edge information, the result of interpolation performed by using the signal levels of a plurality of pixels for focus detection adjacent to the pixels for focus detection, the result of interpolation performed by using the signal levels of the image-capturing pixels located in a direction orthogonal to the prescribed direction, and the signal levels of image-capturing pixels arranged around the pixels for focus detection.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
