PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make trajectories of coordinates hardly unnatural, and to allow operators to perform desired input operations.SOLUTION: A coordinate input device is configured to: detect an input of an indication tool on the basis of a light-amount distribution to be detected by a plurality of light reception units arranged in an area around a coordinate input effective area; determine whether the light-amount distribution corresponding to each of a plurality of indication tools is in an overlapped state on the basis of the light-amount distribution to be detected by the plurality of light reception units when the input of the plurality of indication tools is detected; when the determination results in the light-amount distribution corresponding to each of a plurality of indication tools being in the overlapped state, identify an interpolation section where a coordinate value of a first indication tool in the plurality of indication tools is calculated by an interpolation with the state; calculate the number of interpolation points serving as the number of calculations of the coordinate values to be calculated by the interpolation in the interpolation section to be identified; calculate an interpolation coordinate value in the interpolation section on the basis of the light-amount distribution to be detected by each of the plurality of light reception units, the interpolation section and the number of interpolation points; and control an output of the interpolation coordinate value on the basis of the interpolation section.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 26 |
