摘要 Provided is a sintered body of MgF_2-CaF_2 binary system for a radiation moderator, which has a dense polycrystalline structure with excellent radiation moderation performance and, particularly, neutron rays moderation performance. The dense polycrystalline sintered body of MgF_2-CaF_2 binary system with excellent radiation moderation performance and, particularly, neutron rays moderation performance comprises greater than or equal to 0.2 wt% and less than or equal to 90 wt% of CaF_2 in MgF_2, and has a volume density greater than or equal to 2.96 g/cm^3. In addition, the sintered body of MgF_2-CaF_2 binary system has flexural strength greater than or equal to 15 MPa, and mechanical strength greater than or equal to 90 of Vicker′s hardness.
