PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To temporarily store a component in a plurality of stand-by containers, to take out the component from the stand-by containers and assemble that to a corresponding product, and to associate component taking-out action with the selection of component supply destinations.SOLUTION: A component taking-out device temporarily stores a component 1 in stand-by containers 26 or 27, and then, opens an opening/closing member 31 to take out the component. A component passage 18 of the component 1 dropped from a component supplying member 5 is composed of a plurality of branch passages 19, 20, and 55. The stand-by containers 26 and 27 are disposed at lower end portions of the branch passages, and a guide member 23 for guiding the component 1 to any one of the branch passages 19, 20, and 55 is disposed.
