ECO-FRIENDLY COATING MATERIALS FOR PAPER CUPS AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING PAPER CUPS USING THE SAME

Provided is an eco-friendly coating material for manufacturing paper, which comprises a copolymerized resin consisting of a silicone-based polymer and acrylic-based polymer. The eco-friendly paper coated with the eco-friendly coating material of the present invention has excellent water resistance, oil resistance, and heat sealing properties while being harmless to human bodies as a food wrapper. Also, the eco-friendly paper coated with the coating material of the present invention can be recycled as a raw material for manufacturing paper and is environment-friendly by having biodegradability. The silicone-based polymer includes a repeating unit represented by chemical formula 1, and the acrylic-based polymer includes a repeating unit represented by chemical formula 2. The weight ratio of the silicone-based polymer and acrylic-based polymer is 1:99 to 30:70. The copolymerized resin constitutes 10 to 50 wt% of the total weight of the eco-friendly coating material.
