PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide wire whose coil body surface is covered with a coating film, in which the coil body (guide wire) can easily curve.SOLUTION: A guide wire 3 includes: a core shaft 4; a coil body 5 that covers the core shaft 4; and a coating film 13 that covers the coil body 5. The coating film 13 enters between element wires 6 of the coil body 5, and the film thickness of a portion entering between the element wires 6 of the coil body 5 is smaller than that of a portion existing on the surface of the coil body 5. Consequently, the coil body 5 can easily curve and exhibits satisfactory followability to even a blood vessel curving jaggedly.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
