PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a recovery time from a power saving mode to a normal state, in a solid-state imaging apparatus that can operate in the power saving mode in which power consumption of a column amplification unit is reduced.SOLUTION: An amplification unit of a solid-state imaging apparatus, comprises: an amplifier having a first input terminal, a second input terminal, and an output terminal; an input capacitive element to whose one end an output signal from a pixel in a corresponding column of a pixel array is input, and whose the other end is connected with the second input terminal of the amplifier; a feedback switch connected between the second input terminal and the output terminal of the amplifier; and a feedback capacitive element connected between the second input terminal and the output terminal of the amplifier, in parallel to the feedback switch. A drive current of the amplifier in a first time period is smaller than that in a second time period in which the amplifier amplifies a signal output from the pixel.
