PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring instrument protector and a measuring instrument protection method capable of completely discharging static electricity charged between a central conductor and an external conductor.SOLUTION: A central-conductor contact section 12 is formed so that a central conductor 51 contacts the central-conductor contact section 12 ahead of the contact of an external conductor 52 with an external-conductor contact section 13 when a connector 50 of a coaxial cable is to contact a gate section 11, and formed so that the central-conductor contact section 12 is depressed in a forward direction of the connector 50 of the coaxial cable by a pressure generated by the contact of the central conductor 51 with the central-conductor contact section 12. The gate section 11 is formed so that the external conductor 52 contacts the external-conductor contact section 13 while the central conductor 51 is kept in contact with the central-conductor contact section 12 after the central-conductor contact section 12 is depressed, and the gate section 11 is rotated by a pressure generated as the connector 50 of the coaxial cable moves forward.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
