PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat generating system including a coal fired boiler that can reduce the amount of COemissions and of which operation is easily controlled.SOLUTION: A pulverized coal fired boiler 100 uses pulverized coal supplied from a pulverized coal supply line 121 and ammonia supplied from an ammonia tank 111 as fuels. Because the ammonia is supplied to a char combustion region in the boiler 100, combustion is promoted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
