The invention relates to a passenger transport system (1) which comprises a three-phase drive motor (11) and a control device (14). Furthermore, the passenger transport system (1) comprises at least one inverter module (16) having power semiconductor switches (16.1 to 16.6). The gate electrodes (16.11 to 16.16) of the power semiconductor switches (16.1 to 16.6) are driven directly by the control device (14). The inverter module (16) is connected on the input side to a DC source (15) and on the output side to the three-phase drive motor (11).
