The present invention relates to a flap valve (1) for an air conditioning system, which meets requirements for controlling air in the air conditioning system and is resistant to a torsional load and a bending load. The flap valve (1) for an air conditioning system comprises two spaced apart air guide surfaces (4, 5), wherein the air guide surfaces enclose a space (6) and are in contact with at least one end portion (4a, 5a; 4b, 5b) to form a core area (6). The core area may be formed in hollow or include a core element/core structure (7, 8, 9) with a lower density than a material of the air guide surfaces (4, 5). Furthermore, the invention relates to various methods for making such a flap valve (1). |
