The present invention relates to an over driving circuit for a display device which is compatible with an RGBW type display device and an RGB type display device. The over driving circuit includes a first RGBW color data generation module and a second RGBW color data generation module. The first RGBW color data generation module generates RGBW color data from the RGB color data of a previous frame, and the RGB color data of a present frame, respectively, and generates the RGBW color data of the previous frame and the RGBW color data of the present frame by multiplying RGBW data by a gain. The first RGBW color data generation module generates the RGBW color data from input RGB color data and generates input forth color data by multiplying the RGBW color data by the gain. |
