A fixing means which may be a nail or pin has a pair of locating faces. The fixing means is used in conjunction with an elongate securing plastic strap or band. A shank of the fixing means passes through the strap and secures the strap and the fixing means to a substrate, such as a wall or timber section. The proximate end of the strap is thus clamped between the substrate and the lower face of the fixing means. The strap may be wrapped around an item that it is to support and the distal end is then secured to the fixing means by placing it between the locating faces and securing it using an enlarged tab, item 4 figure 3. Thus one end of the strap may be attached and released from the second face of the fixing means when desired, whilst allowing the other end to remain fixed to the substrate via the first face of the fixing means. |
