[Solution] A method for producing a polyhydric alcohol ether characterized by the joint use of the following catalyst A and catalyst B when reacting a polyhydric alcohol and a carbonic acid ester and producing a polyhydric alcohol ether of a structure in which the polyhydric alcohol is dehydrated and condensed between molecules. Catalyst A: one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of compounds containing an alkali metal, compounds containing an alkaline earth metal, amines or salts thereof or complexes thereof, and semicarbazides or salts thereof.
