<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable generation of an image with adequate reality as a photographed image and atmosphere as a painting when converting a photographed image into a painterly image. <P>SOLUTION: A photographed image which is original image data G1 is subjected to painting conversion and generates first painterly image data G2. Monochrome image data G3 is generated from original image data G1 to generate a background blurred image G4 in which a background area other than a face region detected by face detection is blurred. From the background blurred image G4, a translucent image such as α mixed data G5 in which transmittance according to luminance of each pixel is set for each pixel is generated, and second painterly image data G6 is generated by subjecting a translucent image and first painterly image data G2 to transmission synthesis so that image data in which collapse of detail is inconspicuous and appearance degree of useless brush line or color tone is decreased compared to the first painterly image data is obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
