Disclosed are a self adaptive system and a self adaptive method using ontology. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the self adaptive system using ontology comprises: a database including ontology data classified according to at least one ontology model among requirements of a target system user in which experience and knowledge of a developer of a target system are incorporated, features of components of the target system, and an architecture of the components of the target system; and an adaptive control unit to use the ontology data to control the target system to operate by adapting to an environmental change.
