Classes 75(2) and 75(4) In an indoor lighting arrangement in which one or more electric lamps is located in an aperture above a ceiling, the aperture being closed by a light transmitting screen, the screen can be adjusted or replaced for changing the distribution of the emergent light. The screen may consist of a transparent disc having light directing members e.g. prisms or flutes, mounted for rotation about its axis. Alternatively, a set of interchangeable screens having different light directing properties may be used. In a further modification, two screens, 13, 20 each having sets of parallel prisms 14, 21 on the upper surface are mounted one above the other the lower screen only or each screen being rotatable about its axis independently of the other. Either screen may also be replaced by another having different light directing properties.
