<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a functional film transfer apparatus that can suppress the damage of a functional surface of a functional film 10 when guiding a master roll 22 containing the functional film 10 supported by a release film 14 to a guide base 32 via a guide roll 33. <P>SOLUTION: The guide roll 33 of the functional film transfer apparatus 30 does not abut on a predetermine area of the functional film 10 of a long object 20 during a period from the release of the predetermined area of the functional film 10 from the release film 14. The guide roll 33 does not abut on the side of the functional film 10 of the long object 20.
