PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode active material for a lithium ion secondary battery, furthermore suppressing gas generation at the inside of a battery, thereby capable of reducing swelling of the battery.SOLUTION: A positive electrode active material for a lithium ion secondary battery of the present invention includes a positive electrode material, a silane coupling agent and an epoxy resin. The surface of the positive electrode material, where an active substance is present, is treated with the silane coupling agent and the epoxy resin, so that gas generation caused by decomposition or the like of a nonaqueous electrolyte due to the active substance is suppressed. |
