PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition useful in skin cosmetics of little odor and irritancy or the like with high storage stability, and to provide a method for producing the composition. SOLUTION: This composition is such one as to be freed from residual platinum catalyst to levels of <=0.5 ppm, being obtained by hydrogenation of a polyether-modified polysiloxane composition synthesized by hydrosilylation between a C=C double bond-terminated polyoxyalkylene and a hydropolysiloxane followed by removing the platinum catalyst left in the hydrogenated composition by a filtration means.
