The device has clamping bolts (13, 14) for clamping and declamping a striker spring and a detent, which is arranged at the clamping bolts. The detent is combined with a counter detent for holding the clamping bolts in a front clamping position. Declamping mechanisms are attached to the clamping bolts for declamping the striker spring during removal of a magazine (5). The declamping mechanisms comprise an index plate (25), which is displaced in a closure housing (2) between a rear safe position and a front locking position, and a locking element (29) i.e. locking bracket.
