Provided is a direct acting rotation actuator capable of reducing cogging torque and cogging propulsion. The direct acting rotation actuator (1) comprises: a movable member (2) including an output shaft (21), directly acting in the axial direction (Z) of the output shaft (21) and supported to be able to rotate in the circumferential direction (&thgr;) of the output shaft (21), wherein N pole parts (25B) and S pole parts (25A) are arranged alternately in the axial direction (Z) when seen in the circumferential direction (&thgr;), and are arranged alternately in the circumferential direction (&thgr;) when seen in the axial direction (Z); and a stator (3) including a direct acting winding (33) for generating a magnetic field for allowing the movable member (2) to directly act, a rotation winding (35) for generating a magnetic field for rotating the movable member (2), and multiple protruding cores (319) protruding toward an inner circumference in a diametrical direction (R) to face the movable member (2) and arranged in the axial direction (Z) and the circumferential direction (&thgr;). The arrangement direction of the protruding cores (319) arranged in the circumferential direction (&thgr;) is inclined with respect to the rotating direction of the movable member (2). |
