The present invention relates to an electrolyte solution including sulfur dioxide based gallium-based inorganic electrolyte and a sodium-sulfur dioxide (Na-SO_2) secondary battery having the same. The present invention is to increase general energy efficiency of the battery by improving extreme polarization generated when the sodium-sulfur dioxide secondary battery is tested. According to the present invention, the sodium-sulfur dioxide secondary battery includes a negative electrode made of an inorganic material, a positive electrode made of a carbon material, and sulfur dioxide-based inorganic electrolyte. The electrolyte includes sulfur dioxide based gallium-based inorganic electrolyte produced by injecting SO_2 gas into a mixture of NaX and GaX_3. X includes a halogen-based compound, saturated hydrocarbon (R) including C1-C20, unsaturated hydrocarbon (R) including C1-C20, and OR or SR.
