The present invention relates to a current collector system (1) for a rail vehicle which is supplied with power by an overhead line, wherein a current collector has at least one contact strip (4), the height of which can be vertically adjusted above a rocker (2) by means of an actuator, so that the contact strip (4) can be brought into contact with an overhead line. A pneumatic monitoring system is provided which has an air duct (L) arranged in or on the contact strip (4), wherein damage of the air duct (L) detects a disruption between the contact strip (4) and the overhead line and initiates a lowering process of the rocker (2), characterised in that the monitoring system has an independent separate pneumatic system (9). |
