METHOD AND DEVICE FOR MOUNTING AN ENGINE ON AN AIRCRAFT PYLON

The invention relates to a method for mounting an engine (1) on an aircraft pylon (3) comprising engine suspension members (31) secured to the pylon, the engine being secured to a suspension cradle (6) via which it is suspended from the pylon, the method comprising a step of hoisting the engine in a vertical direction as far as the pylon followed by a step of marrying it to the pylon by moving the engine in another direction, characterized in that an intermediate component (7) having an interface intended to collaborate with a complementary interface provided on the cradle (6) is fixed to the pylon beforehand by attaching it to said suspension members (31) so that the cradle can be positioned with respect to the intermediate component at the end of the marrying to the pylon. The invention also relates to the device for implementing the method.
