Disclosed is a hybrid extinction type gas isolated circuit breaker having a thermal expansion room and a puffer room. The gas isolated circuit breaker for injecting the isolating gas of the puffer room with a high pressure includes a stationary contact; a stationary arc contact which is formed in the fixing contact; a traveling contact which faces the stationary contact and can be electrically connected to or separated from the stationary contact; the thermal expansion room which is formed in the traveling contact; a puffer room which is formed in the back of the thermal expansion room in the stationary room and has a volume which decreases according to an operation of separating the traveling contact from the stationary contact; a traveling arc contact which is formed in the inner end part of the traveling contact to be matched to the movement of the traveling contact and can be connected to or separated from the stationary arc contact; and a direct injection flow path which is formed in the traveling contact and is a path on which the gas of the puffer room is injected to the front end of the travelling contact.
