A rear lamp (RL) provided on the rear part of a vehicle (CAR1), wherein the rear lamp (RL) is provided with, in addition to a normally illuminated lamp, a sub tail lamp (STL) illuminated at least when a following vehicle performs automatic driving, the following vehicle being capable of detecting the illumination. Because the following vehicle detects the sub tail lamp (STL) illuminated in addition to the normally illuminated lamp, it is possible to detect the sub tail lamp (STL) more accurately and more reliably than in detection of the normally illuminated lamp, and to detect the preceding vehicle (CAR1) in a highly accurate and speedy manner. |
