PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide removing technology for preferably removing a deposit adhering to a plate-like body such as a blanket or substrate, and to provide a printing system that uses the removing technology.SOLUTION: A removal method for removing a deposit adhering to one main surface of the plate-like body includes: a transferring step of transferring the deposit to a transfer body by bringing the transfer body into close contact with the one main surface of the plate-like body; and a peeling step of removing the deposit from the one main surface of the plate-like body by peeling the transfer body coming into close contact with the one main surface of the plate-like body from the plate-like body.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
