A base station system according to an aspect of the present invention comprises a radio unit including: a main conversion unit for receiving a first downlink frame which conforms to a first protocol and a second downlink frame which conforms to a second protocol, and generating a downlink transmission frame by reconfiguring the first and second downlink frames so as to conform to a third protocol; and a remote conversion unit for receiving the downlink transmission frame and disassembling the received downlink transmission frame so as to output at least one of the first and second downlink frames.
