PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dental prosthesis with a lining material, favorably bonded to an acrylic denture base, mitigating rattling and pain in mastication and, when a residual ridge shape of a patient is changed, capable of accommodating thereto by a simple method, and manufacturing method of the dental prosthesis.SOLUTION: A lining material 4 composed of an elastomer resin containing an ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer and a hydrocarbon-based resin, is bonded to a back side of a denture base 3 consisting primarily of an acrylic resin material, using a methyl methacrylate as a bonding material 5. The lining material 4 is elastically deformed in an intraoral temperature range to follow the intraoral shape. When the residual ridge of a patient is changed, the lining material 4 is heated to a 60 degrees of centigrade to be softened, where a new lining material may be added thereto on an as-needed basis, and is fitted to the oral cavity of the patient, thereby forming a new dental prosthesis adapted to the change in the residual ridge shape.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
