PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of causing a part in which continuity is poor between adjacent scan lines in the case of processing by using an FDI method and adaptive type signal processing.SOLUTION: The subject information acquisition device includes: a plurality of conversion elements for receiving elastic waves propagating from the inside of a subject to convert the elastic waves into a plurality of electric signals; FDI adaptive processing means for using the plurality of electric signals to perform a frequency area interferometer method and adaptive signal processing, calculating power intensity at each position on a plurality of scan lines, and acquiring a power intensity distribution; and correction means for performing correction processing for making a fluctuation in the power intensity between adjacent scan lines in the direction of crossing the scan lines.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
