The method involves masking an identifier of a transmitter for a receiver. A non-invertible token of identification of the transmitter, is generated (21) by removing a condensed element and by implementing a hash function. A signal representative of the identifier of the transmitter is delivered. A masked call and the token are transmitted (22) to the receiver based on a part of the identifier of the transmitter. A frequency of the call received on behalf of the transmitter whose identifier is present in a directory of the receiver, is considered during generation of the token.
