PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the maximum use of an inverter rating capacity while maintaining a withstanding voltage of an electronic component used in an inverter, to a switching surge voltage, even at a voltage in the vicinity of the withstanding voltage.SOLUTION: A motor control device includes: an inverter 3 for converting power supplied power from a battery 2 to drive a motor 1; a controller 4 for PWM controlling the inverter 3 to drive control the motor; and voltage detection means 5 for detecting the voltage of the battery. The controller 4 includes phase current limiting means 411 for limiting the phase current to drive the motor 1 to a preset minimum current limit value, when a voltage value obtained from the voltage detection means 5 exceeds a predetermined threshold, so that the controller can drive the inverter 3 by a voltage in the vicinity of the withstanding voltage of the electronic component. |
