<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent polyelectrolyte membrane composed of a hydrocarbon material which is low in cost and has various chemical structures, excellent in proton conductivity under high-temperature low-humidification conditions and mechanical strength in a wet state, and especially used for a solid polymer fuel cell, and to provide a solid polymer fuel cell comprising the polyelectrolyte membrane and offering excellent characteristics and durability. <P>SOLUTION: The polyelectrolyte membrane is a composite of a polyelectrolyte having a main chain composed of a hydrophobic oligomer having practically no sulfonic group, and a hydrophilic oligomer containing a sulfonic group and a main chain mainly composed of an aromatic ring, and a nonwoven glass fabric. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
