PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scribing tool capable of forming cracks having a sufficient depth in a substrate when forming scribe lines at positions right above and under a seal material.SOLUTION: Scribing tools 30 and 40 comprise: holders 303 and 403; grooves 303a and 403a formed in the bottom surfaces of the holders 304 and 404; a pair of grooves 303b and 403b formed in the bottom surfaces of the holders 304 and 404 so as to sandwich the grooves 303a and 403a; scribing wheels 301 and 401 rotatably mounted on the grooves 303a and 403a; and a pair of rollers 302 and 402 rotatably mounted on the pair of grooves 303b and 403b, respectively. The shafts 301a and 401a of the scribing wheels 301 and 401 are separated from the shafts 302a and 402a of the rollers 302 and 402 to each other by a predetermined distance in a scribe direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
