PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chloroprene rubber composition capable of sufficiently suppressing foaming even with crosslinking under normal pressure and a manufacturing method therefor, as well as a wire and a cable.SOLUTION: There is provided a cable 6 which is coated with a sheath composed of a chloroprene rubber composition having the water content quantified according to JIS K 0113 of 0.20 mass% or more and diameter of voids existing in the composition of 20 μm or less, obtained by extrusion molding a rubber material 10 while conducting a deaeration treatment with a two-stage vent-type extruder 11 and crosslinking by passing the extrusion molded rubber material to a normal pressure crosslinking facility 13 continuously.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
