PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a can-top seaming device and a can-top seaming method that enable high-speed processing per unit time by shortening the stand-by time of each seaming roll generated by each seaming process when seaming with a plurality of containers conveyed intermittently.SOLUTION: In a can-top seaming device 100, the seaming head of which revolves a seaming roll around a container and presses the seaming roll in a container direction to perform double seaming, the seaming roll comprises at least an initial seaming roll 130 and a final seaming roll 140. The initial seaming roll 130 is arranged in the upstream seaming head 110, and the final seaming roll 140 is arranged in the downstream seaming head 120 to make the initial seaming roll 130 perform initial seaming at a first seaming position 101 where the upstream seaming head 110 actuates, and the final seaming roll 140 perform final seaming at a second seaming position 102 where the downstream seaming head 120 actuates.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
