PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording device capable of adjusting pixel densities even if binary pixel data is input from a host.SOLUTION: An ink jet head driving device includes: a conversion circuit 22; and a drive circuit 23. Multilevel or binary pixel data is input to the conversion circuit 22 as pixel data for an ink jet head 10 forming pixels by continuously discharged ink droplets. If the input pixel data is binary, the conversion circuit 22 converts this binary pixel data to multilevel pixel data for forming pixels by a predetermined number, two or more, of ink droplets and outputs the multilevel pixel data. The drive circuit 23 forms a driving waveform on the based on the pixel data output from the conversion circuit 22 and applies the driving waveform to the ink jet head. |
