PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of improving the convenience when desired information is searched from information classified into a hierarchic structure, a control method of the display device, and a program.SOLUTION: A display device 1 according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a display part 110 for displaying information classified into a hierarchic structure; an operation part 120 for searching for desired information from among information displayed in the display part 110; and a display control part 130 for performing a display control of the display part 110 in response to the operation of the operation part 120. The display control part 130 performs the display control so that information selection of a hierarchy higher than an arbitrary hierarchy is made possible, while retaining a selection result of the arbitrary hierarchy with the information selection in the arbitrary hierarchy.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
